Presenters for
Public Awareness Lecture Series


Jana Shiloh is nationally certified in homeopathy. She has taught homeopathy nationally and internationally for 20 years, has written books on birthing, curing colic, and lactose intolerance. She has taught homeopathy for medical doctors in a course sponsored by Dr. Andrew Weil and was a co-founder of the Pacific Academy of Homeopathic Medicine.

Robin Strom is a physical therapist specializing in orthopedic, neurological, and geriatric clients. She is currently pursuing an advanced degree in Integrative Manual Therapy, a wholistic approach with its roots in osteopathic medicine and comprehensive treatment of the body systems.

Kate Riley has worked with Ayurvedic massage, reflexology and been a Sivananda Yoga teacher for more than 25 years. She is a graduate and former instructor at the National Holistic institute where she specialized in the Zen Shiatsu and related Chinese Medicine Theory. She continues her education with integrated manual therapies that she uses as the core treatment in her practice at Choices. Kate also teaches a Saturday morning Yoga Class, incorporating somatic movement.

Mary DeRose is Advanced Proficiency rated in the Activator Methods Technique of Chiropractic adjustment. An Activator is a hand held instrument that delivers an adjustment to a specific vertebra or joint. The Activator Methods technique has a precise protocol and there is no twisting or crunching of joints. She is a graduate of Life School of Chiropractic in Marietta, Georgia.

Kathy Salisbury Lawrence is a graduate of Santa Barbara College of Acupuncture. Along with her general acupuncture practice she specializes in NAET, an allergy elimination technique, and the acupuncture face lift. She is currently senior faculty for the Phoenix Institute of Herbal and Acupuncture Medicine. She was a horse trainer and known for her equestrian acupuncture techniques.

Alexander Haggard is a physical therapist specializing in orthopedics and manual therapy. He provides orthopedic rehabilitation and has a special interest in fitness injury therapy and bodywork for sports enthusiasts of all types and skill levels. His workshops will be of the active variety with plenty of participation by the audience.

Kelly Krietsch is a clinical psychologist whose practice specializes in assisting persons with psychophysiological problems. Examples of these types of disorders are chronic pain, sleep disturbance and hypertension. He was a professor at Northern Arizona University for twelve years and has published a number of studies for professional journals.

Devin Mikles is a board certified physician of internal medicine who practices in Sedona. He has just completed two years as Chief of Internal Medicine at Verde Valley Medical Center and is Medical Director of the Northern Arizona Healthcare Hospice program. Since 1969 Dr. Mikles has been engaged in the study of the therapeutic effects of diet and nutrition, skeletal manipulation and the many forms of yoga and bodywork therapies. He studies eastern as well as western medical practices. His vision is to assist in the development of new paradigms in healing through the creation of interdisciplinary healing systems.
